London Arab Choir Policy.
Welcome to the London Arab Choir! This policy aims to outline the rules and conditions that all members must adhere to in order to ensure an enjoyable and well-organized experience for everyone. We appreciate your interest in joining our choir and look forward to working with you.
1. Respect for Others and Compliance with Regulations:
- All members are required to respect each other and comply with the regulations and instructions issued by the administration.
- Aggressive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited.
- All members of the orchestra and choir are strictly required to refrain from discussing or raising any questions of a religious, racial, sectarian, or political nature during rehearsals or within the rehearsal venue. This policy aims to prevent any potential conflicts or disturbances among members. Failure to adhere to this guideline may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including dismissal from the choir or orchestra.
2. Punctuality:
- All members must arrive on time for all rehearsals and events.
- If a member misses a rehearsal, the paid amount will not be refunded. We hope everyone adheres to the specified timings to ensure smooth operations.
3. Refund Policy:
- If the administration cancels any sessions, the amounts paid by the members for the canceled sessions will be refunded.
- Refunds will be processed within 10 business days from the date of cancellation.
4. Monthly Fees:
- The monthly fee is £50, inclusive of tax, for each member. Fees are paid monthly in advance (subscription). If a member wishes to cancel their subscription and leave the choir, they must notify us at least one month in advance.
- Fees are collected at the beginning of each month, and we encourage timely payments to avoid any disruption in participation.
5. Admission Requirements:
- Applicants do not need to be professional singers, but they must possess the basic talent to sing correctly, in tune, and within the correct rhythm.
- Applicants must pass a vocal audition conducted by the choir leader to be accepted as a choir member.
- The administration will set the dates for the vocal auditions, and applicants will be informed in advance.
6. Selection for Performances:
- The choir leader has the final say in selecting the members who will participate in the choir's performances from among those wishing to participate.
- Selected members will be notified in advance to allow adequate preparation time.
7. Responsibility for Personal Issues and Belongings:
- The administration is not responsible for any issues that occur between members or for any loss or damage to personal belongings during rehearsals and events.
- We recommend that all members keep their personal belongings secure and not leave them unattended.
8. Choral Membership and Participation Policy
The choir administration reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member who violates the membership rules or engages in unethical behavior. Additionally, the conductor has the right to decline the participation of any choir member due to frequent absences, insufficient vocal readiness, failure to memorize songs, or any other reason that may negatively impact the expected performance level of the choir.
9. Use of Photos and Videos:
- By signing this policy, the member agrees to the publication of their photos or the use of any video featuring them on social media platforms or other promotional and documentation purposes.
- If there is any objection, please send an email to the administration to clarify.
By signing this policy, you confirm your agreement and commitment to all the terms and conditions outlined above. We welcome you to the London Arab Choir and look forward to sharing wonderful musical moments with you.
